DBMS English School Jamshedpur wins Jharkhand School Innovation Challenge

Jamshedpur, Aug 9: DBMS English School, Jamshedpur was declared the winner of Jharkhand State Inter School Innovation Challenge 2022 (AVISHKAR) organised by IIT (ISM) Dhanbad and Naresh Vashisht Centre for Tinkering and Innovation (NVCTI).

40,000 schools participated in the challenge and after five rounds of rigorous assessment top five teams were selected for the finale in IIT (ISM) Dhanbad. Samarth Pandey (Class XI) and Priyansh Panchal (Class XII) from DBMS English School, Jamshedpur were selected for their innovative idea and Prototype “GOD VISION” developed by the duo in the school Atal Tinkering Lab. GOD VISION is a special type of spectacle for blind people, it can detect obstacle in front of a person and give an alarm to the blind person. In the finale on 5th August at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad judges appreciated the prototype and declared team DBMS as the winner of the inter school challenge AVISHKAR 2022. The students received a cash award of Rs 50000, individual trophies, trophy for the school, winner certificate, and certificate for the mentor. The school Management, School Principal Rajani Shekhar, School ATL Incharge Hirak Biswas and all teachers of DBMS English School congratulated the winners.

It is worth mentioning that SDSM School for Excellence comprising Harsh Ranjan, Yuvraj and Sameer Kumar were declared the runner-up while Kumar Divyansh of DAV Public School TTPS Lalpania (Bokaro) bagged the second runner up prize.
