DBMS English School and Hill Top School head for collaboration with Chinese schools

Jamshedpur : City-based DBMS English School and Hill Top School have embarked on a journey of global collaboration. After successful partnerships with the UK, the two schools are now looking towards collaborating with schools in China.

The Chinese Consulate at Kolkata has invited Rajani Shekhar principal of D. B. M. S. English School and Principal Puneeta Chouhan of Hill Top School for a week-long visit to Kunming Yunnan to foster partnerships with schools.

An 11-member delegation will visit China from April 23 to April 30. About 10 reputed Indian Schools from Bengal, Odisha and Jharkhand will be visiting Yunnan, China to promote collaboration in education and to enhance understanding and friendship between students.

They will be sharing of best practices in curriculum design and class room teaching. This will cultivate envoys of friendship by providing opportunities for students to learn more about each other’s history, language, culture and literature.

�Our two schools would like to add a micro drop of understanding to the ocean of friendship which lies between the people of India and China. Let us bring the youth of the two great ancient countries closer together,� said Rajani Shekhar.

�The objective of our visit is to learn about the system of education and how the bar could be
raised to develop the talent for the future of our society and secondly, what kind of curriculum was necessary to enhance the skills of talented children,� she said.

Chouhan said that the programme has been designed to increase interaction between both countries, to boost cultural awareness and creativity in mainstream education.

Another educationalist said that with the boom in Chinese economy, its native language is fast becoming a global language.

The country is emerging as a significant economic player on the international stage. Moreover with Chinese company investing in our country and Indian company venturing in China the command over the language is very important.
