Jamshedpur, August 6: The Cultural Club of DBMS College of Education celebrated its seventh annual ‘Sawananza’ festival with great enthusiasm, marking the joyful spirit of the Sawan season. The event featured a colourful array of competitions and performances, capturing the essence of greenery, rains, and festivity associated with the month of Sawan.
The program was inaugurated with the traditional lighting of the lamp by DBMS office bearers Archana Ramesh, Subha Raghavan, Chitra, College Secretary Priya Dharmarajan, Joint Secretary Sudha Dilip, and Vice Principal Monica Uppal.
The event began with a soulful Kajari song performance by the students, setting a festive tone. Competitions such as mehndi design, satvik food, flower decoration, hair styling, dance, and the crowning of Sawan Samragni and Sawan Samrat were major highlights. Students participated enthusiastically, showcasing creativity and talent.
Winners included Ritu Lakra and Vinita Kumari (Hair Styling), Priyanka Kumari and Antara Sarkar (Satvik Food), and Jyoti Kumari (Mehndi Design). Titles were awarded to Ayush Parashar (Sawan Samrat), Muskan Kumari (Sawan Samragni), Siddhi Jalan (Fashion Diva), Rohit Poddar (Fashion Prabhudhan), Vishal Kumar (Mr. Tejas), and Trisha Sarkar (Mrs. Tejaswini).
