Jamshedpur, August 12: Yet another endeavour by the DBMS English School has emerged successful.
The School believes in imparting values to the students, one such value is, Patriotism. The Primary and the Middle and High school students celebrated �The Quit India Movement�, �Born Free�, on 12th�August, 2015, to pay their respects to Mahatma Gandhi and other freedom fighters that helped in achieving freedom from British rule.
Various events were organized to promote a nationalistic spirit among the children. This was an attempt to expose and inform today�s children of our glorious heritage thereby helping build proud citizens of the future.
�The programme was inaugurated with the traditional lighting of the lamp by the eminent Members of the School Managing Committee�and the Principal Mrs Rajani Shekhar.
The tiny tots of KGI showcased their talent and competitive spirit on stage by walking the ramp dressed as freedom fighters. If on one hand there was a Netaji and a Chacha Nehru on the other there was a Rani Lakshmi Bai and Mahatma Gandhi.
They carried little Indian flags and waved them proudly. The audience was mesmerized.�Patriotic songs were sung with great fervour and vigour.
This was followed by a power point presentation on the �Quit India Movement.� A short skit was also enacted portraying the �Quit India Movement�. Everyone was spellbound.
This programme was graced by three eminent senior citizens N.Mishra, Ajit Singh Gabri and P.S.Chatterjee who enthralled the students with anecdotes of the freedom struggle.
There was also an interactive session with the High school students.Prizes were given to the KGI students.This programme was aptly concluded with the rendering of the National Anthem.
