Jamshedpur, Dec. 23
: DBMS English School for its ongoing golden jubilee celebration has invited former students who have excelled in various fields.

As part of the 50 year celebration of the school, former student Vineet Bhatt working as an IT professional in ICICI Bank, Hyderabad has penned a book which tries to explain the leadership skills.

Talking to The Avenue Mail at his Kadma residence, the budding author said, I have been on leave for the last one year to pen my debut book The Rear- View Mirror and breakaway from maintaining the daily job.

Published by Partridge India the book The Rear-View Mirror tries to explain the leadership skills and qualities through lecture and story.

I have worked for several years in Tata Steel in Jamshedpur and Tech Mahindra (formerly Satyam) in Hyderabad and through my personal experiences and close observation I found out that senior officers having poor leadership qualities and for any mistake they always blamed others, said Bhatt, adding, Many of the scenarios and incidents in the book are based on my real personal and professional life experiences.

An alumnus of NIT Rourkela and XLRI, Jamshedpur, Vineet who did his schooling from Loyola School and DBMS School, Jamshedpur, said, the main specialty of the book is its language and the selection of words and the writing is descriptive that would be a crucial takeaway for the readers.

The Rear-View Mirror is an inspiring tale of an extraordinary turnaround as the qualities of a humble taxi driver are pitted against highly educated American professional who is very proud of his antecedents.

Philip Young, a North American with British ancestry, is sent to Kolkata, India, much against his will, to head the Indian operations of his firm headquartered in New York. Proud of his high caliber and rapid success in life, under his reign however, the companys fortunes take a tumble. Exasperated and flummoxed, he yearns for the familiarity of his earlier role and environment back in New York where he had spent his entire life.

My main aim is to make the world a better place for our future generation, said Vineet, who found much satisfaction in writing book than his 25 years of working in big companies.

Vineet who has started work on his second book, said, My debut book has received very good and prompt reviews from readers across the country and specially from the former principal of Loyola School who has termed it Unputdownable.

Several school of the Jamshedpur including Loyola, Beldih Church, St. Marys, DBMS English School along with XLRI, XIMB and Loyola Bhubaneshwar and others have ordered several copies for their library, while JH Tarapore School gave away the copies of the book as an award to meritorious students of the school, added Vineet.

I want leave a legacy behind and through my books want to inspire, elevate the readers that every single person has in him to reach the pinnacle provided he or she takes the responsibility, he added.

Vineet is also a public speaking trainer and leadership consultant and wishes to build his own company soon.
