Dayanand Public School Jamshedpur students excel in Karate, Yoga, and Athletics at CISCE Tournaments

Jamshedpur, July 21: Students of Dayanand Public School (DPS) have brought laurels to the institution with outstanding performances in recent CISCE tournaments across various disciplines.

Nehal Prasad, a Class IX student, clinched the gold medal in his category at the CISCE Regional Karate Tournament held in Patna. With this win, he has qualified for the CISCE National Level Karate Championship, where he will represent the Bihar and Jharkhand region. His dedication and hard work, supported by his coaches, teachers, and parents, serve as an inspiration to fellow students.

The school also shined at the CISCE Regional Yoga Championship held at Gulmohar School. Three students—Sidharth Sona (Class VIII), Sarthak (Class IX), and Shail (Class IX)—won gold medals and qualified for the national-level competition, showcasing the school’s focus on holistic development.

In athletics, students performed exceptionally well at the CISCE Zonal Athletics Meet held at JRD Tata Sports Complex. Amit Kumar Singh Deo (Class XI) won gold in javelin throw, while Mansi Kumari (Class X) secured double gold in the 800m and 1500m races. Harshita Samad (Class X) has been selected for the relay race event.
