DAV NIT celebrates Republic Day with fervor

Jamshedpur, Jan 27: The 64th Republic Day was celebrated with plenty of gusto at DAV Public School, NIT Campus, Adityapur .

A wide range of activities centered around the theme of the program were conducted to instill the spirit of national pride and love for the country.

The function began with the unfurling of tri-colour, followed by the school parade put up by the students of four Houses and NCC cadets.

Anindita and Varsha of std eight, welcomed the chief guest Satyapal Sharma, the principal of the school and the gathering. Arpan and Sishir Jha of std nine spoke a few words on the significance of the Republic Day.

Entertainment consisted of a dance to the tune of patriotic song �Jai Ho �. Jai Ho, prior to drill demonstration by junior students.

Speaking on the occasion, the principal of the institute Satyapal Sharma took the students to the days when the country was struggling for freedom and also spoke how today the nation is a progressing one excelling in all fields � maths, science and technology, economics and the like.

He further drew the attention of the students to the fact that the country has tremendous potential which, he said, could be exploited by being disciplined in every department of the nation.

The programme came to an end with the vote of thanks by Ritesh Jha, the head boy of the school.
