Jamshedpur, October 28: The ground of DAV Public School, Bistupur, reverberated with joy and enthusiasm as the DAV National Sports (Zonal Level) Handball and Chess-2016 concluded on Thursday with prize distribution of the runners and winners teams.
In handball (boys)DAV NIT were the winners while in Handball (girls) DAV Hazaribagh bagged the trophy. Hosts DAV Bistupur emerged as the winner in Chess for both boys & girls category.
The chief guest Amit Mukherjee, M.S. Orthopedic and Sushma Luthra, wife of Regional Director S.K. Luthra, Jamshedpur zone graced the occasion.
The tournament concluded with the colourful Sambalpuri folk dance by the students of classes III to VI. The winners and the runners up were awarded and the team managers and officials were honoured.
The Principal Pragaya Singh proposed the vote of thanks and the DAV National sports flag was lowered by the chief guest and handed over to the games-in-charge.
The chief guest declared the closure of the DAV National sports Handball and Chess-2016 (Zonal level) followed by national anthem.
