DAV Dugda crowned overall champion at national sports competition

Chaibasa, Oct.23: DAV National Sports competition organised at Noamundi Tata Sports Complex concluded on Sunday.

DAV Dugda scored 52 points whereas DAV Bhandaridih scored 41 points in overall competition. DAV Dugda was accorded the first rank and DAV Bhandaridih was runner up team.

The best performer of the sports event was awarded to the DAV student Pradeep Kumar Choudhary and Bipin Kumar Yadav in boys group and Sanchita Kumari of DAV Sawang was awarded the best performer in girls category.

Regional Director of DAV schools Jamshedpur region SK Luthra was the chief guest for the occasion and gave away the prizes and certificates of recognition to winner team and players. The Principal TK Mishra gave away memento to the chef guest and other guests.

While encouraging the participants, TK Mishra said that there is no alternative to victory which comes with a lot of hard work.

At the event Adivasi dance was presented which enthralled the spectators. Addressing the gathering, chief guest SK Luthra said, the way students showcased their talent at the national sports event of DAV schools, they deserved to win.

He also added that we must appreciate the Tata Steel for extending help with open heart to make the events a grand success. Present at the event was Tata Steel Noamundi head KC Das, Sushma Luthra, OP Mishra, Principal DAV Adityapur, S K Sinha, principal DAV Jhinkpani, Rout Rai, Archana Mishra, Circle officer Ravi Kishore Ram, BDO Amren Dang , PS B Ram and others.
