Jamshedpur, July 12: DAV Public School, Bistupur organized its annual prize distribution function at Tata Auditorium in XLRI on Saturday amid a huge gathering of students, parents and teachers. The program started with the lighting of the lamp.
At the event 323 students who proved their mettle in the academic session were awarded. Guest of Honour for the occasion was S.K Luthra, Regional Director of DAV Jamshedpur Zone who along with his wife Sushma Luthra, Hemant Gupta from Tata Steel Adventure Foundation and Manager of NRI, International Bank Najib Mustaba were present.
City SP Chandan Jha had to be present as the Chief Guest but for unavoidable reasons he missed out. Principal of the School Pragya Singh presented the annual report. She said that this year 37 students of the school cleared the JEE Advanced, 40 students passed JEE Mains while 6 PMT students were awarded certificates and mementos.
132 AISSCE toppers, 93 subject toppers while 15 students who scored 10 CGPA were also awarded at the event.
Addressing the gathering, Luthra said that one should work sincerely after setting the goal to be achieved.
A person is known only by his/her talent and students should have willpower to recognize the talent.
Later in the event, students presented cultural program and a two minute silence was observed for BSF martyr Kishan Kumar Dubey.
