DAV Bistupur class 12 students bid nostalgic farewell to school life

Jamshedpur : DAV Public School, Bistupur organised a grand farewell programme ‘Au Revoir’, i.e., Never Say Goodbye, on Wednesday, in the Central Lawn of the school premises where students of class 11 bid farewell to the outgoing students of class 12 with great enthusiasm and of course nostalgia.

Function began with Arya Vedic Hawan and a floral welcome of the Chief Guest, SK Luthra, regional director, Jamshedpur Zone. The inauguration was followed by a scintillating welcome dance by the students rippled over the gathering.

Then the Principal, Mrs. Pragya Singh, in her welcome speech wished good luck to the students of class 12 batch of 2016-17 for their future and appreciated their efforts.

She also expressed her hope that students will continue holding top positions in the pursuit of their aspirations and encouraged them to face all the odds and to be firm like a pillar.

SK Luthra, regional director, DAV Public Schools, Jamshedpur Zone motivated the students saying that the will to win, the desire to succeed, the urge to reach full potential are the keys that will unlock the door to personal excellence.

Students of class 11 presented series of entertaining programmes including Karaoke programme, Fusion Dance, Band Performance etc where the highlights of the show.

In an emotionally surcharged atmosphere inside the school premises, Prakriti Singh, the Head Girl, delivered the valedictory speech on behalf of the outgoing class of 2017.

Students of class 12 were presented mementoes as a token of love by their class teachers. The ceremonial Zeal reached its peak in the questionnaire round and video projections of ‘Memories’.

Different tags were awarded to the students. Master Abhay Kumar of class 12-A6 was awarded for 100% attendance and Abhinav Pal of 12-A3, Kushagra of class 12-A3 and Ishika Agarwal of class 12-A6 were awarded for their remarkable achievements in sports. Tag of Best Scholar Science was given to Somen Dutta of class 12-A5 whereas Bhawna Agarwal of class 12-C2 was declared the Best Scholar, Commerce.

Title of Master DAV and Miss DAV was won by Abhigyan Ghosh of class 12-A4 and Prakriti Singh of class 12-A5 respectively. Tag of Runners-up Master DAV was won by Aurko Basu of class 12-B while title of Miss DAV, Runners-up was won by Himanshi Gupta of class 12-A4.

At the end the students representative and deputy Head Girl, Himanshi Gupta if class 12-A4 proposed the vote of thanks.
