Daljit Singh Dalli elected CGPC convenor

Jamshedpur: Daljit Singh Dalli was elected convenor of Central Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee (CGPC) on Sunday. The election was held at Guru Teg Bahadur Memorial Hall in Sakchi.
Dalli, chairman of Manifit Gurudwara committee, defeated his nearest rival Surjit Singh, general secretary of Tinplate Gurudwara committee, by 14 votes.
A total of 146 votes were cast in today�s polls. This was the first time when a CGPC convenor was elected through ballots.
