Jamshedpur: D.B.M.S. College of Education marked the birth anniversary of Dr. Rajendra Prasad, India’s first President, with a vibrant celebration. The event aimed to honor his life and contributions to the nation, focusing on his role in the Indian freedom movement and the creation of the Constitution.
The program commenced with a ceremonial lamp-lighting by college dignitaries, including Secretary Shrimat Shripriya Dharmarajan, Joint Secretary Sudha Dilip, Principal Dr. Juhi Samarpita, Vice Principal Dr. Monica Uppal, and faculty members.
Principal Dr. Samarpita shared inspiring anecdotes about Dr. Prasad’s life, highlighting his commitment to cultural and social values, even during his tenure as President. Students further paid tribute through a video presentation and a PowerPoint, showcasing his biography and achievements.
The event featured poetry recitations by students Poonam, Alka, Rani, and Anisha, capturing the spirit of the occasion. The proceedings were conducted by a dedicated student team, including Meraj Antara, Diya, Priyanka, Neha, Madhuri, and others.
A special assembly was also held to commemorate the day, organized under the guidance of Poonam Kumari, a teacher from the Social Science Club. The management committee, faculty, and non-teaching staff contributed to the program’s success.
The celebration concluded with a collective reflection on the enduring legacy of Dr. Rajendra Prasad, emphasizing his brilliance as a student, his patriotism, and his commitment to the nation’s progress.
