Cyclone Fengal impacts Jamshedpur’s Weather

Jamshedpur : Cyclone Fengal, which made landfall on the Tamil Nadu coast, has significantly influenced the weather in Jharkhand. Originating in the Bay of Bengal, the cyclone hit between Karaikal and Mahabalipuram yesterday afternoon, bringing heavy rainfall to Tamil Nadu.
The cyclone has led to extensive cloud formation and a heavy influx of moisture in Jharkhand, resulting in a noticeable rise in the minimum temperature across the state. This morning, residents of Jamshedpur, Chaibasa, Khunti, Simdega, Ranchi, and several other areas woke up to overcast skies.
Meteorologists attribute the unusual weather to the prevailing system, which has disrupted the flow of the typically cold north-westerly winds. Ranchi recorded a minimum temperature of 12.6°C, slightly above the normal level. In Jamshedpur, the minimum temperature surged to 17.9°C, while Chaibasa reported 15.6°C.
Other districts, including Daltonganj, Bokaro, Dhanbad, Pakur, Palamu, Ramgarh, and Seraikela, also experienced a rise in minimum temperatures, highlighting the widespread impact of Cyclone Fengal on Jharkhand’s weather.
Experts anticipate further fluctuations in the weather as the cyclone continues its course.
