Cultural program on Shanidev Jayanti at Jugsalai Mandir

Jamshedpur, June 6: Jharkhand Shani Shanti Yagna (Havan) was organized under the leadership of Damodar Shani Baba at Shanidev Temple on Satyanarayan Mandir Road along the railway line near Jugsalai Dukhu Market.

The program in the temple started with the worship of Surya, son of Shani Dev. On the auspicious occasion of Amavasya, Navgraha Puja and Havan started from 7 am on Thursday, and went on till 6 pm. Special guests performed the Havan puja from 5 pm to 6 pm. The distribution of prasad started at 11 a.m., and continued till 5 in the evening with more than four thousand devotees receiving the Prasad.

All the prayer rituals were conducted by Pandit Gyani Sharma and Ashok Sharma. Thousands of devotees participated in this program throughout the day and took the blessings of Shani Baba and tied Raksha Sutra.

The cultural program commenced at 7 pm, in which local bhajan singer Prem Agarwal and  his team rendered bhajans that made devotees dance in religious ecstasy.

The guests included MLAs Saryu Roy and Mangal Kalindi, former MLA Menka Sardar, District Council member Kavita, social worker Shambhi Singh, Rajendra Prasad, Manoj Puria, Arvind Mishra, Vimal Agarwal, Vishnu Sonkar, Anmol Verma, Shambhu Jaiswal, Kunal Bhalotia, Arun Goyal, Sangam Garg, Giriraj Maheshwari, Ankit Garg, Saurav Agarwal, Anand Goyal among others. All guests were honored with turbans and scarves. All devotees including the guests anointed the God of Justice with oil and received blessings. Mahant Damodar Baba, Gyani Sharma, Ashok Sharma, Soni Sharma, Shilpa Tapadia, Dharmendra Sharma, Nandkishore Thakur, Manoj Puria made important contributions towards making the religious program successful.
