Jamshedpur, Jan 29: CSIR–National Metallurgical Laboratory (CSIR-NML), Jamshedpur is participating in the Radiant Jharkhand 2.0 Expo being held from January 29 to 31, 2026 in the city. The Expo aims to highlight Jharkhand’s progress in research, skill development and related sectors, while promoting collaboration between industry, academic institutions and government bodies.

Speaking on the occasion, CSIR-NML Director Dr. Sandip Ghosh Chowdhury said the laboratory’s participation reflects its continuous efforts to convert scientific research into practical technologies that support regional growth and strengthen industrial competitiveness. He added that CSIR-NML is contributing towards national initiatives like Atmanirbhar Bharat through innovation and research.

During the exhibition, CSIR-NML showcased its technological strengths, ongoing research programmes and initiatives in metallurgy, mineral processing, advanced materials and sustainable technologies. The stall drew keen interest from industry representatives, policymakers and visitors exploring future collaboration opportunities.
The CSIR-NML Exhibition Committee Chairman and Chief Scientist Dr. K. Gopala Krishna, along with his team, interacted with stakeholders and presented industry-focused research solutions.
The exhibition began with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony in the presence of senior officials, marking the formal inauguration of the event.
