Jamshedpur, Jan. 30: CSI beat West Bokaro 25 – 21, 17 – 25, 17 – 25, 25 – 23 and 15 – 06 in the final (5 sets) to win the Inter Divisional Volleyball Championship organized bt Sports department of Tata Steel from 27 to 30 January 2016 at Volleyball Court of JRD Tata Sports Complex.
For the 3rd Place match Shared Services beat OMQ, Mines Division by 25 – 20 & 25 – 10 (3 sets). Best Player of the tournament was awarded to R K Mishra of CSI.
This was the tenth event of Inter Divisional Championship of 2015 – 2016 season were 9 out of 11 units participated including- West Bokaro, Shared Services, CSI, Long Product, Flat Product, General Offices, OMQ, Jharia and KPO. S K Haldar, Chief (Coke Plants), Tata Steel was the Chief Guest and distributed the prizes to the winners.
On the occasion, Bagicha Sinngh, Bipin Patil, Satnam Singh, and several ex-sports lovers were present to witness the final.
Jaspal Singh, Kamaljeet Singh, Balwinder Singh, J A Murty and Hareram were the officials and conducted the entire matches of the above championships.
Unit Representatives, Gautam Acharjee, M K Jha, R R Singh, Tilak Ram were present on the occasion.
Avinash Kumar conducted the entire championship and was supported by Hassan Imam, Ajit Singh, Firoze Khan, Ms. Punam, Ms. Renu Bhaduriya, Arun Sinha, Ravi Barua and his staff teams in making the championship successful.
