CS stresses on settling payment issues on-line

Ranchi, Jan 13: Chief Secretary R S Sharma today at a meeting, which reviewed the VAHAN, e-Services, stressed on settling payment related issues on-line.

He said that local permit information should be automated and the permit should be issued online.The Registration of vehicle, Tax realization, Issue of Permits and Vehicle fitness details were done through VAHAN software.

At the meeting held at the Project Building, the Deputy Director General, National Informatics Centre Gautam Ghosh, Information Technology Principal Secretary N.N. Sinha, along with other officials were present.

NIC D D G Ghosh at the meeting made a brief presentation on the proposed functionalities by state of Jharkhand on VAHAN, e-Services and the architecture of VAHAN-SARATHI.

Chief Secretary said that the information of surrender of vehicles i.e. vehicles going out of road and the information as to where the vehicle was parked during the period be automated.

He suggested suspension of the nation permit of the vehicle and to ban it from plying in any part of the country. He also recommended standardization of the garage names as far as possible.

The Principal Secretary, Information Technology Department, Shri. N.N. Sinha, along with other officials were present during the meeting.
