CS reviews preparations for Shrawani Mela

Ranchi: Chief Secretary Sajal Chakravarty today reviewed the security and disaster management arrangements for the Shrawani Mela 2014 with the cabinet secretariat department officials.

He directed for arrangements for drinking water and portable lavatories at different places for the benefit of the pilgrims. He said there should be team of doctors, Para �medical staff and ambulances equipped with medicines. The district administration was directed for maintaining proper traffic management during the mela. The transport system should be foolproof and continuous power supply should be provided during the mela.

There should be proper security in the complex and at the entrance for the benefit of the pilgrims.

Arrangement should be made for proper announcements for � lost and found persons �.At the meeting Principal Secretary J B Tubid suggested that to maintain order in the mela help of volunteers should in the area where armed police force was needed. He said that pre-fabricated structures should be installed for the stay of the police force.

Information Technology Secretary N N Sinha said that during the mela help of �Dial 1967� should be taken for emergency situations and publicity be given for e-rahat services. Officials of different departments were present during the meeting.
