Ranchi: Chief Secretary (CS) Sajal Chakraborty today reviewed the action plan to prevent illegal mining of coal in the state.
Chief Secretary instructed that the DCs and SPs should identify and list the check-points to curb illegal mining of coal.
At a meeting with Home Department officials at the Project Building, the Chief Secretary said there should be regular inspections by the task-force in all the districts to prevent illegal mining.
The meeting decided that there should be monitoring of the closed mines where the mineral deposits had been fully extracted.
The Chief Secretary stressed on GPS monitoring of vehicles carrying coal. He suggested convergence of Mining, Transport, Forest, Police and other concerned Departments for the same.
At the meeting along with DGP Rajiv Kumar, ADG S.N. Pradhan, Home Secretary N.N. Pandey, Secretary Mines Arun, Transport Commissioner Manoj and other officials were present.
