Ranchi, Feb 19: The Chief Secretary (CS) R.S. Sharma today suggested developing ready to use space for IT & manufacturing industry. He was speaking at a meeting of the 9th of State Level Export Promotion Committee with the officials of Industry and other departments held at the Project Building.
The Chief Secretary reviewed the status of projects undertaken under Assistance for Schemes of Infrastructure Development for Entrepreneurs (ASIDE) Scheme and directed the Department to identify the export oriented products of the state.
Recommending a detailed study of existing silk parks in other silk producing states, he directed the department to prepare a good business model for the Silk Park at Irba in Ranchi. He wanted that the objective of this silk park to be clearly focused and to mark out which of its activities should be centralized or, decentralized.
Development Commissioner Sudhir Prasad, Deputy Secretary Saxena of Union Commerce Ministry, Industry Secretary Himani Pandey, Secretary Agriculture N.M. Kulkarni, Housing Secretary Aradhana Patnaik along with other officials was present during the meeting.
