Ranchi, July 23: With a view to promote eco-tourism in Jharkhand, the state govt. will make DPR and all urban bodies will be illumined with LED light.
Chief secretary(CS) Raj Bala Verma met Tourism secretary, Government of India, Vinod Jutsi and MD, ESSL, Saurabh Prasad in New Delhi. The CS discussed the potential of eco-tourism in Jharkhand elaborately with Jutsi who asked her to prepare DPR for the same.
The officer duo discussed the potential of spiritual tourism circuit. Anjanidham, Parasnath, Deoghar, Basukinath, Maluti, Vanshidhar temple, Garhwa etc. have been identified to be included in the spiritual tourism circuit.
She also met with the NHAI Chairman on the issue of building proposed bridge on the Ganga and expansion of National highway in the State.
With her meeting with MD, ESSL Saurabh Prasad the CS discussed energy efficient technology and installation of LED street lights. Prima facie, it will be installed in 43 local municipal bodies and later it will be extended to approximately 4,000 village panchayats.
Verma also met Teresa Khi and her team of Asian Development Bank and discussed ADP Phases 1, 2 and 3. Verma and ADB team also discussed vision document 2015-30 in which focus is given on small and middle enterprises.
Reform in infrastructure, skill development, agricultural production and other big issues in the vision document were also discussed.
During the discussion, the issue of wise utilization of balance amount of Rs. 200 crore of Phase 2 was also considered for extension work.
