CS, DGP reviews security measures ahead of 48-hours bandh call

Ranchi, June 8: Chief Secretary Raj Bala Verma directed the deputy commissioners and superintendent of police to be vigilant on 11-12 June. CS and DGP of Jharkhand were chairing a video conference meeting with deputy commissioners and superintendents of police.

CS & DGP directed the officials to be prepared and deploy proper force at sensitive locations on 11-12 June. Officials were directed to ensure arresting of miscreants during Bandh call.

Mrs. Verma said, deploy police force on Railways, highways, main roads, hostels & Universities. During the meeting it was also decided that the force should be deployed on a large scale in mobile vehicles, so that they can move to other places, in case of any eventuality. Proper Deployment of fire tenders was also directed.

CS further asked the officials to co-ordinate with divisional railway manager and government railway police force and ensure peace during shut down. Officials were instructed to ensure availability of rubber bullets, tear gas etc.Mrs. Verma directed the officials to be prepared with camp jails and asked them to ensure separate detainment of protesters.

DGP said, during the shutdown video recording will be done to identify the miscreants & FIR will be lodged against them. D.K.Pandey asked the officials to be vigilant on social media posts.

N.N. Pandey, Addl. Chief Secretary, Home Department, Amit Khare, Addl. Chief Secretary Finance cum Development Commissioner , ADG S. N. Pradhan and Anurag Gupta and other officials attended the meeting.
