Seraikela, Oct 25: A CRPF jawan, identified as Mohammad Saifuddin Ahmad, reportedly committed suicide by hanging self to death from a tree at CRPF 196 Battalion camp in Dugni, Seraikela, in the wee hours of Friday, police said.
Sources said the body of the deceased was found hanging this morning. The deceased was a resident of Morigaon, Assam. He was posted in Seraikela three months ago. He worked as a barber. He was suffering from mental sickness. He had tried to escape the camp twice earlier, sources said.
