Crores duped on promise of holiday package in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Feb 25: A racket of cheating people of crores of rupees in the garb of holiday package has surfaced in the Jugsalai and Bagbera area of Jamshedpur. 
The matter came to the fore when the aggrieved complainants knocked door of East Singhbhum deputy commissioner Suraj Kumar against owner of Brainway Holidays, a networking company, Vijay Singh Chouhan and others associated with the company namely Rohit Singh, Vijay Mishra and Roushan Sahu. 


According to the complainants, the private firm had cheated nearly 179 persons from Jugsalai and Bagbera of of Rs 22,55,400 in the name of holiday package. Each person had paid Rs 12,600 and were promised by the owner of the company that each person can book four times a year in three-star hotel  in India and twice book hotels in overseas countries. Company staff Rohit Singh had taken money from the persons on May 15, 2019 and had also influenced persons to connect with other persons.

It was also promised that while purchasing the package if there would be any problem then persons would be returned back their amount with a deduction of Rs 600 as service charge. However, when complainants wanted their booking, Rohit Singh started dilly dallying and after pressure gave booking to 4-5 persons only once. 


One of the accused Rohit Singh has a flat in Vijaya Garden in Baridih and owns a luxury car and has also opened a new networking company of his own in the name of Rapo-Grow.
