Jamshedpur, Augst 25 : Two criminals were nabbed while they were trying to loot a stationary van’s cabin in Bhilaipahari along the NH-33 under MGM thana area.The victims whom the criminals were assaulting were the staff of GAIL, the company which is laying pipeline for the LPG at Mango.
Those who were arrested have been identified Altaf Ahmed and Mohammed Salim, both 22-years-old and residents of Road No 8 in Azadnagar in Mango. A third criminal who had come driving an auto-rickshaw managed to escape the arrest, leaving his vehicle at the scene of crime.
OC, MGM thana, Arvind Kumar said that the two criminals were arrested by a patrolling party at about 2.30 am while they were carrying out the loot at the van’s cabin in Bhilaipahari today. He said they have seized an auto-rickshaw and a toy pistol from the possession of those arrested.
The OC said the van driver, identified as Ravi Katiar (35) had sustained head injury while another staff Ashok Kumar was being bullied at the point of toy-pistol at the time the police party had reached there. He said after arresting the two criminals, the police team rushed the injured driver to MGM Medical College Hospital, where he is undergoing treatment.
