Ranchi, July 1: Santoo Oraon, a criminal who violated the externment order was arrested while he was roaming in Ranchi along the Budhakhukhrao- Cambo road under the Mandar Police Station area. He was picked up on the basis of a secret information received by SSP Chandan Kumar Sinha. The police seized a carbine, two pistols and seven rounds of ammunition. Santoo has a total of nine cases registered against him in different police stations of Ranchi and Khunti. SSP Chandan Kumar Sinha and City SP Rajkumar Mehta provided the information at a press conference on Monday.
The SSP reported that on Sunday, information was received that the exiled criminal Santoo was seen roaming in the jungle area located on the route from Budhakhukra to Cambo. A raiding team was formed. The police team raided the jungle and chased down and captured Santoo. He has almost a dozen serious cases registered against him. The cases include robbery and murder.
