Jamshedpur: In a decisive move against the land mafia, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kishore Kaushal has issued strict instructions to all police station in-charges in Jamshedpur. Emphasizing a zero-tolerance approach, the SSP directed the imposition of Control of Crime and Antisocial Activities (CCA) and Tadipar actions against those involved in land mafia activities.
During the monthly crime review held at the Deputy Commissioner’s office auditorium, SSP Kishore Kaushal outlined specific measures to combat criminal elements. The police stations have been instructed to send surveillance proposals for individuals involved in more than two cases under the Arms Act and extortion.
Additionally, the SSP emphasized the prompt handling of passport applications, urging police personnel to upload the applications on the portal within five days. For immediate action, the SSP directed officials to respond within 30 minutes of receiving complaints through the Emergency Response Support System (ERSS) dial 112.
To address public safety concerns, the police will identify new black spots and raise awareness to prevent two-wheeler thefts. Boards will be installed on reservoirs and riverbanks for the safety of picnickers. In a bid to maintain order at picnic spots, police station in-charges were instructed to prohibit alcohol consumption and loud music.
The meeting was attended by City SP Mukesh Kumar Lunayat, all Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), and police station in-charges, highlighting the collaborative effort to ensure the safety and security of the community.
