Jamshedpur, Aug 3: Tarapore School took a significant step towards promoting health and safety among students and staff by organizing a comprehensive CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) Training program. The session was held in the school auditorium on Thursday, 3rd August 2023, for the students of Std. XII and teachers.

The CPR training session aimed to equip the students and teachers with essential life-saving skills and knowledge to respond effectively in emergency situations. Emphasizing quick and confident action during critical moments, the training underscored the importance of CPR techniques in sustaining life until professional medical help arrives.

Conducted by the Tata Steel Foundation, Dr Parbal Kumar Ghosh and his team demonstrated proper chest compressions and the correct usage of an automated external defibrillator (AED). Enthusiastically, the students and teachers participated in the practical demonstration of CPR techniques under the expert guidance of Dr Prabal Kumar Ghosh and his team, which included Shekhar Rajak, Md Shish, Rakesh Kumar, Ganesh Ravi Das, Pratima Kumari, Jamuna Patro, Pintu, and Madha Tanti throughout the session.
The CPR training session highlighted the importance of health education in schools and the role of students and teachers as first responders in emergencies. By promoting life-saving skills within the educational setting, the school reaffirms its dedication to nurturing responsible and well-informed citizens.
