Jamshedpur: A two day celebration commencing December 15 has been lined up to celebrate the 75th year of the CP Samiti Middle School which started in a two room premise in 1943.
To celebrate the Platinum Jubilee, a Hasya Kavi Sammelan will be organized at the Sidgora Town Hall auditorium. Popular poet Dr Surendra Dubey from Chhattisgarh along with Dr Padam Albela and Srimani Mdhukar Musli from Rajasthan and Gauri Mishra from Uttrakhand will create a laugh riot with their humorously satirical creations.
As a precursor to the event, school children and other performing troupes will present traditional dance forms in an interstate format on December 15 in the CP Samiti Middle School premises.
This information was given by the school management president Khemlal Choudhary at a press meet organized today at a city hotel. General secretary Dinesh Kumar while giving details said, �The CP Samiti Middle School started in a two-room accommodation in 1943 and it has come a long way since then. The privilege of celebrating 75 years of imparting education to generations of students is a major achievement.�
During the cultural program on December 15 to be organized in the CP Samiti Middle School, state youth, sports and culture minister Amar Kumar Bauri will be present. On the occasion, people who have contributed to the school in various ways from the foundation day till now will be felicitated by the school fraternity.
The chief guest on December 16 will be state urban development minster CP Singh while DC Amit Kumar and SSP Anup Birtharay will be present on the occasion.
On the same day, the school�s alumni will be honoured.
Among others to be felicitated will be well known pediatrician Dr RK Agrawal, former official of the Bistupur post office Avadh Bihari Yadav, former principals of CP Samiti Middle School Surendra Lal and Lakhan Lal Sahu, journalist Lalit Dubey and the current principal of the school Ravi Shankar Dubey.
Present at the press meet today were the school managing committee president Khemlal Choudhary, general secretary Dinesh Kumar, vice president Padmanand Kaushal and secretary Dev Narayan Sahu.
