Jamshedpur, Jan 5: Jamshedpur’s active caseload which has been decreasing continuously and stands at 180 on Tuesday, as per data released by East Singhbhum health department.
This constitutes a paltry 3.7 percent of total positive cases so far. This is made possible by daily recoveries outnumbering daily new cases. Against 54 people who recovered in 24-hour window, Jamshedpur could report only 12 new cases.
No COVID-19 death has been reported in the East Singhbhum district in the last 29 days as the death toll remains at 374. Active cases have also dipped below 200 mark in the district.
On Tuesday, East Singhbhum district reported 12 corona positive cases while 54 people recovered of the virus.
The new positives in Jamshedpur took the Coronavirus tally to 17690. 54 people recovered of the virus on Tuesday taking the total recovery to 17136 while total active cases in Jamshedpur are 180.
East Singhbhum district administration has conducted 178581 test per million in the district. The recovery rate in Jamshedpur is 97% while the mortality rate is 2.1 %.
So far in Jamshedpur 483305 samples have been collected out of which 475383 have been tested and 457693 have turned out to be negative.
