COVID: Jamshedpur records 3 new cases, zero deaths

Jamshedpur, July 19:  The daily positive case count in Jamshedpur remained in single digit on Monday.

Jamshedpur reported 3 positive cases on Monday while zero death was recorded. 

The new positives in Jamshedpur took the Coronavirus tally to 51743

7 people recovered of the virus on Monday taking the total recovery to 50639 while total active cases in Jamshedpur is 50.

Of the 50 patients still undergoing treatment for the coronavirus in the district, most are in home isolation, while some are being treated at care centres and hospitals. 

As many as 7 people recovered from the virus on Monday taking the overall recoveries to 50639 which accounts for a recovery rate of 97.87%.

East Singhbhum district administration has conducted 437847 tests per million in the district. The recovery rate in Jamshedpur is 97.87% while the mortality rate is 2.04 %.

With 3 new Covid-19 cases, Jamshedpur’s positivity rate on Monday, remained below 1%, as the city stayed on the recovery path after a brutal wave of infections between April and May. The positivity rate stood at 0.06% on Monday.

More than 4900 were tested on the day. Data from the state government’s daily health bulletin showed that the Covid-19 test positivity is 0.06%. The state, too, witnessed a massive fall in infections and fatalities.

The positivity rate of Covid-19 cases in Jamshedpur is around 0.06 per cent after East Singhbhum conducted over 4900 tests in the last 24 hours. 

The Steel City tested 4946 samples, of which, 3 turned out positive while 7 people recovered from the Covid-19. The continuous high numbers of tests have pushed the positivity rate further down to 0.06 per cent, the government data showed.

So far in Jamshedpur 1179519 samples have been collected out of which 1165550 have been tested and 1113807 have turned out to be negative.
