COVID infection trend: Below 100 on second consecutive day in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Oct 3: Today was the second straight day when less than 100 COVID positive cases were traced in a span of 32 days in Jamshedpur.

61 cases were reported on Saturday, October 3 while 67 positives were traced on Friday, October 2. Coronavirus positive cases in Jamshedpur have crossed 14,000 mark. With 61 new cases on Saturday, total tally has climbed to 14,123.    

Positive tally has climbed to 14,123 while the death toll has reached 325 with 1 death on Saturday. 246 people recovered of the virus taking the total recovery to 11980 while total active cases in Jamshedpur are 1818.      

The district administration spokesperson informed that 61 corona positives have been identified in the East Singhbhum district on Saturday. ast Singhbhum district administration has conducted 76836 test per million in the district. The mortality rate in East Singhbhum district in 2.3 % while recovery rate is 85%.

With a total of 877 fresh cases of Coronavirus being detected across the state on Saturday the overall tally of Covid-19 patients in Jharkhand has reached to 86,277.

During the day 5 deaths were reported including 1 each from Jamshedpur, Chaibasa and Saraikela and 2 from Ranchi after which the overall death count has increased to 734 in the state.   

The mortality rate among the patients currently stands at 0.85 percent. As per the information provided by the health department the number of active cases in the state was 10,939 while number of cured and discharged cases stood at 74,604 including 1176 recoveries on Saturday.

On Saturday a maximum number of 384 cases were found in Ranchi, followed by 61 in Jamshedpur, 40 in Saraikela and 15 in West Singhbhum districts.  

A total of number of 1176 people were also cured and discharged from various dedicated Covid-19 facilities during the day including 353 from Ranchi, 246 from East Singhbhum, 38 from Saraikela and 32 from West Singhbhum districts.

Despite the rampant rise in Coronavirus cases across the state the recovery rate of Covid-19 patients has improved significantly and has once again gone above 80 percent mark.
