COVID cycle: 1 death, 85 recoveries against 36 infections in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Nov 10: Growth of Coronavirus cases are on the decline in Jamshedpur. East Singhbhum district recorded one death on Tuesday, November 10 while 36 positives were reported.

Coronavirus cases in Jamshedpur reached 16261 with 36 new cases reported on November 10. The death toll climbed to 360 with one death reported in East Singhbhum district on Tuesday.

85 people recovered of the virus on Tuesday taking the total recovery to 14765 while total active cases in Jamshedpur are 1136. East Singhbhum district administration has conducted 122051 test per million in the district. The recovery rate in Jamshedpur is 91% while the mortality rate is 2.2 %.

So far in Jamshedpur 336643 samples have been collected out of which 324901 have been tested and 308640 have turned out to be negative.

On the other hand,  Coronavirus tally in Jharkhand on Tuesday reached to 1,04,940 as 252 new cases of Covid-19 were detected across 23 districts. During the day 5 deaths were reported including 1 each from East Singhbhum, Bokaro, Deoghar, Giridih and Ranchi districts as a result of which the overall death count has reached to 910. The mortality rate among the patients currently stands at 0.85 percent.

As per the information provided by the health department the number of active cases in the state was 4,042 while number of cured and discharged cases stood at 99,988. The total number of death caused by Coronavirus in the state stood at 910.

On Tuesday a maximum number of 43 cases were found in Ranchi followed by 36 in East Singhbhum, 32 in Dhanbad, 31 in Bokaro and 12 each in Deoghar, Ramgarh and West Singhbhum (top five districts). No cases was found in Pakur districts during the day. A total of number of 456 people were also cured and discharged from various dedicated Covid-19 facilities during the day including 153 from Ranchi, 85 from East Singhbhum, 49 Bokaro, 23 from Dhanbad and 16 each from Godda and Palamu districts.

Despite the rampant rise in Coronavirus cases across the state the recovery rate of Covid-19 patients has improved significantly and has once gone above 95 percent mark to currently stand at 95.28 percent in Jharkhand. So far in the state 37,06,004 samples have been collected out of which 36,87,269 have been tested and 35,82,329 have turned out to be negative.
