Ranchi/Jamshedpur, Aug 24: Coronavirus cases crossed 31,000 mark in Jharkhand with 827 new positive cases on Monday, August 24. While the tally has crossed 5400 mark in Jamshedpur with 160 fresh corona cases reported till the filing of this report late on Monday evening. �
10 patients died of Coronavirus while 827 new cases were reported in Jharkhand on Monday. Positive cases have climbed to 31005 while 330 people have lost their life due to the virus in the state including 10 on Monday.
Jamshedpur continues to top the casualty list with 6 patients losing their life on Monday, two people died of COVID in Dumka while one person each died of the virus in Dhanbad and Koderma.
734 people have recovered and were discharged from various COVID hospital�s across the state on Sunday. 20870 people have recovered in Jharkhand till date while 9805 active cases are still present in Jharkhand.
In Jamshedpur the COVID-19 tally has crossed 5400 mark.
160 new cases were reported on Monday, August 24 taking the East Singhbhum tally to 5469.
The district administration spokesperson informed that 160 corona positives have been identified in the East Singhbhum district on Monday. All the positives have been admitted to COVID-19 wards.
170 people have died of coronavirus in Jamshedpur till the filing of this report on late Monday evening including 6 deaths reported on Monday.
The first case of the pandemic was reported from Hindpiri on March 31, when a 22-year-old Malaysian woman, who had been to Delhi�s Tablighi Jamaat congregation, tested positive. She has since been discharged after being recorded from the dreaded disease.
The Jharkhand government has ordered an extension of lockdown related restrictions in the state outside containment zones, up to August 31, due to COVID-19 cases.
Meanwhile, Jharkhand government issued measures for the implementation of interstate quarantine protocol, to all Additional Chief Secretary, DGP, Principal Secretary, IG and Deputy IG.
The order said that �All economic activities permitted prior to this order shall remain permitted.�
