COVID: 156 recoveries against 103 infections, 1 death in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Oct 9: A day after 233 corona positive cases was reported in Jamshedpur, 103 fresh cases were recorded on Friday, October 9. �

It was after six day that Jamshedpur had recorded triple digit cases on Thursday.

With 103 new positives on Friday, Coronavirus tally has reached 14,769.    

Positive tally has climbed to 14,666 while the death toll touched 333 with 1 death on Friday. 156 people recovered of the virus taking the total recovery to 12887 while total active cases in Jamshedpur are 1549.       

The district administration spokesperson informed that 103 corona positives have been identified in the East Singhbhum district on Thursday. East Singhbhum district administration has conducted 81689 test per million in the district. The mortality rate in East Singhbhum district is 2.3 % while recovery rate is 88%.

Jharkhand reports 768 new cases of coronavirus Ranchi, Oct 9 (UNI) With a total of 768 fresh cases of Coronavirus being detected across the state on Friday the overall tally of Covid-19 patients in Jharkhand has reached to 91,254. During the day 6 deaths were reported including 3 from Ranchi and 1 each from Bokaro, East Singhbhum and Dhanbad districts after which the overall death count has increased to 781 in the state. The mortality rate among the patients currently stands at 0.85 percent. As per the information provided by the health department the number of active cases in the state was 8,819 while number of cured and discharged cases stood at 81,654. The total number of death caused by Coronavirus in the state stood at 781. On Friday a maximum number of 310 cases were found in Ranchi followed by 103 in East Singhbhum, 48 in Bokaro, 41 in Dhanbad and 37 in Godda districts (top five districts). A total of number of 1,158 people were also cured and discharged from various dedicated Covid-19 facilities during the day including 378 from Ranchi, 156 from East Singhbhum, 77 from Hazaribagh, 67 from Latehar and 64 from Lohardaga. Despite the rampant rise in Coronavirus cases across the state the recovery rate of Covid-19 patients has improved significantly and has once again gone above 85 percent mark to currently stand at 89.47 percent in Jharkhand. So far in the state 25,80,913 samples have been collected out of which 25,76,536 have been tested and 24,85,282 have turned out to be negative.
