Couple murdered in Kharsawan, extremist hand suspected

Saraikela, May 24: The murder of a couple in Kolhan Region�s Kharsawan has created panic in the area. The bodies have been identified as those of Lakhimani Sardar and Mangal Sardar. They were killed in their sleep at night and extremist hand in the murder is suspected. The incident happened at a stone�s throw from a police picket. On information, the police took possession of the bodies and took them away to Chowka police station. The area is an extremist infested locality. The police, during investigation found a note that pointed towards extremists. The couple was suspected to be police informers. However, the police are not conducting investigation solely on the basis of the note found at the murder site. They are also looking at another angle. The note could have been planted by someone who had enmity with the couple and could be the handiwork of that person or persons to misguide the police.
