Jamshedpur, Sept 30: Taking a dig at Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) President Amitabh Choudhary and Country Cricket Club, expelled JSCA member Jeetu Patel said that Country Cricket Club has become a scandal den and by building the club, President Choudhary has invented a new way for corruption.
Addressing a press meet at Jalaram Bhawan in Bistupur, former Ranji Player claimed that the income of CCC has doubled in a year while JSCA is running on overdraft.
According to the annual report, total assets of Country Cricket Club last year was around Rs 3.5 crore which doubled to Rs 7 crore in 2014-15.
Movable assets of the club was Rs 2 crore 74 lakh 84 thousand which increased to Rs 5 crore, 78 lakh 24 thousand in the current year. Club earned Rs 36,28,905 from guest room booking along with Rs 12.5 lakh from ground and hall bookings. Interestingly, JSCA calls country cricket club a totally different organization but its water and electricity bills are paid by JSCA.
During the financial year 2014-15 JSCA paid Rs 94 lakh 26 thousand as electricity and Rs 18 lakh 95 thousand as water bills.
Cricket Association also spent Rs 55 lakh for the upkeep which includes Country Cricket Club. Now the question arises that when Country Cricket Club is registered under company act then why its expenses are being borne by JSCA.
Raising questions on the issues, Jeetu Patel said, � Country Cricket Club has been made the center of corruption. Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) provides grant to state association for the development of cricket but JSCA officials are misusing these funds. Despite earning why JSCA is in overdraft?� he asked.
Former Ranji player claimed that JSCA is earning but the money is directly transferred to the bank accounts of Country Cricket Club.
Country Cricket Club running from Reenu Singh�s house!
According to Jeetu Patel the office of Country Cricket Club is situated at 605, Panchwati Garden, Bariatu which is mentioned in its annual general report.
The house at the above address is in the name of Reenu Singh who is the member of JSCA. She is sister-in-law of JSCA Vice-President Sanjay Singh. It means country cricket club like JSCA is fostering family ties.
JSCA violating lease rules
Jeetu Patel informed that JSCA is violating the lease rules. According to the agreement with HEC, JSCA is using the land for business purpose. Country Cricket Club is running on sub-lease this is reason CCC provided Rs 1770833 as lease rent to JSCA for this year.
How XISS director was made JSCA member?
Jeetu Patel alleged that the son of JSCA official was admitted to Xavier Institute of Social Studies (XISS) and in return Father Alex Ekka was made the member of JSCA.
Raising questions he said at which management committee meeting the resolution of inducting new members was passed.
