Jamshedpur: District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) organized a special counseling session for the women inmates of Ghaghidih Central Jail on Monday. The session was a part of the ongoing 10 day long legal awareness camp in the jail. More than 25 women inmates were informed about their legal rights and different laws related to atrocities against women.
Addressing the inmates, the District Welfare Officer Chanchal Kumari said the session was held as a part of the women and child welfare campaign following the directives of Jharkhand Legal Services Authority.
During the session, the women inmates were informed about various facilities available to them and their wards.
Among those present on the occasion included Sunita Srivastava, Krishnakant Yadav and Seema Kumari.
