Corona recovery rate jumps to 87 % in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur records 80 positives, 236 recoveries, 1 death

Jamshedpur, Oct 5: Jamshedpur reported less 100 COVID positive cases for the fourth straight day on Monday. 80 positives cases were reported on Monday, October 5 taking the Coronavirus tally to 14,277.    

Positive tally has climbed to 14,277 while the death toll has reached 328 with 1 death on Monday. 236 people recovered of the virus taking the total recovery to 12335 while total active cases in Jamshedpur are 1614.      

The district administration spokesperson informed that 80 corona positives have been identified in the East Singhbhum district on Monday. East Singhbhum district administration has conducted 77915 test per million in the district. The mortality rate in East Singhbhum district in 2.3 % while recovery rate is 87%.

With a total of 816 fresh cases of Coronavirus being detected across the state on Monday the overall tally of Covid-19 patients in Jharkhand has reached to 88,026. During the day 4 deaths were reported including 1 each from Ranchi, East Singhbhum, Dhanbad and West Singhbhum district after which the overall death count has increased to 747 in the state. The mortality rate among the patients currently stands at 0.84 percent. As per the information provided by the health department the number of active cases in the state was 10,436 while number of cured and discharged cases stood at 76,843. The total number of death caused by Coronavirus in the state stood at 747. On Monday a maximum number of 319 cases were found in Ranchi followed by 70 in East Singhbhum, 50 in Bokaro, 47 in Saraikela and 43 in Dhanbad district (top five districts). A total of number of 1,284 people were also cured and discharged from various dedicated Covid-19 facilities during the day including 478 from Ranchi, 236 from East Singhbhum, 100 from Dhanbad, 48 from Garhwa and 43 from Latehar. Despite the rampant rise in Coronavirus cases across the state the recovery rate of Covid-19 patients has improved significantly and has once again gone above 85 percent mark to currently stand at 87.29 percent in Jharkhand. So far in the state 24,21,590 samples have been collected out of which 24,18,178 have been tested and 23,30,152 have turned out to be negative
