Jamshedpur: Police today cracked down on marijuana dealers and drug addicts in a campaign launched on the Straight Mile Road near Sanjay Market at Sakchi.
They arrested several persons and confiscated marijuana from their possession. An FIR was lodged against the accused persons in this connection.
DSP Jacintha Kerketta led the police team during the operation. She said police had received complaints against drug addicts smoking marijuana in and around Sakchi close to Sanjay Market.
She said the campaign would continue in the form of surprise raids.
