Contractor Safety Management awareness programme held

Jamshedpur, May 15: Indian Institute for Shop Floor Managers, a 55-year-old institution of the city organised a workshop on contractor safety management in the Center for Excellence. The workshop was inaugurated by Manager, IISM and JMA Jamshedpur, Sougata Sarkar.

The training faculty Sr. Safety Manager of Tata Steel Neeraj Verma highlighted the importance of security in every aspect of life.

The training faculty Tapan Sengupta, Rtd. AGM Tata Motors, informed about the importance of the workshop on safety, and said that just as any professional requires life-long coaches, the same way the employers require expert guidance on various subjects. Safety is not only about learning, but we also bring it into practice.

In this one-day workshop, the management of various companies of the city participated and got information on various aspects of Contractor Safety Management. The workshop saw participation of about half-a-dozen companies like JAMIPOL, Usha Martin, Tinplate, NKCPL, CS Bedi and Company and Vivek Construction.

Various aspects of Contractor Safety Management were discussed in the workshop, such as Safety Excellence through CSM, Overview of six step contractor safety management, Establishing CSM standards in the organization, Deployment and periodic evaluation of CSM and Best practices of CSM.

At the end of the workshop, a faculty of the Programme Mojeeb Alam distributed the certificate of participation to all the participants. Earlier, Sougata Sarkar welcomed the trainees from different companies of the town and ended with a vote of thanks.
