Congress workers burn PM Modi�s effigy over fuel price hike

Jamshedpur, Jan 2: Jamshedpur Lok Sabha Yuva Congress Committee on Monday protested against the rise in prices of petrol and diesel, trouble faced the citizens after 50 days of note ban and imposition of tax on use of debit and credit card.

The members of the committee burnt effigy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Shaheed Chowk in Sakchi. Later addressing the gathering congress workers said that PM Narendra Modi led BJP government has failed to curb the inflation and corruption while the people of the country are still suffering after completion of 50 days of note ban.

The protest was headed by Jamshedpur Lok Sabha Yuva Congress committee vice-president Rakesh Sahu. Also present were Sanjeev Srivastav, secretary of Jharkhand State Congress Committee, Atul Gupta, Sanjay Yadav, Nalini Sinha, Shahid Iqbal, Sunil Prasad, Rohit Sharma, Mukesh Yadav, Kamlesh Sao, Manoj Sao, Alok Ranjan, Dilip Jha, Sonu Yadav, Chandan Kshi, Arun Barik, Sikander Ali, Arman Khan and others were present.
