Congress Trains BLA-2 Members in Bodam for Electoral Roll Revision

Jamshedpur: The East Singhbhum District Congress Committee organized a specialized training session for Booth Level Agent-2 (BLA-2) members in the Bodam block to strengthen grassroots preparedness for the upcoming electoral roll revision.

Mastering the Revision Process

During the session at Shaheed Ramlal Mahto Ground, trainer Sanjay Singh Azad provided technical insights into the Summary Revision of Electoral Rolls (SIR). He guided members on:

• Form Submission: Correctly filling Forms 6, 7, and 8 for new enrollments and corrections.
• Voter Mapping: Understanding the geographical distribution of voters.
• Documentation: Identifying the 11 types of supporting documents required for the revision process.

Strengthening the Organization

District Congress President Parvinder Singh directed block and panchayat leaders to finalize committee formations and appoint BLA-2 members within a strict timeline. He urged workers to actively identify and resolve local public grievances.

Senior leader Anand Bihari Dubey emphasized the need for discipline, calling on workers to remain vigilant to ensure the inclusion of every eligible voter in the revised rolls.

Focus on Rights and Legislation

The training also featured deep dives into key laws affecting the region:

• Tribal Rights: Khagen Chandra Mahato explained the PESA Act, highlighting the power of Gram Sabhas in tribal areas.
• Employment: Kishanlal Mahato discussed the implementation and significance of MGNREGA.
• Land Rights: Block In-charge Biswajit Jena detailed the provisions of the Forest Rights Act.

Executive President Awadhesh Singh spoke on the party’s legacy of inclusive development, while State Secretary Samanta Kumar called for organized public welfare movements.

The program concluded with Block President Dr. Manoj Kumar Mahto felicitating the guests. Numerous BLA-2 members, including Sudhir Tudu and Balaram Mahato, attended the session to bolster the party’s booth-level presence.
