Jamshedpur: Jharkhand State Congress secretary Usha Singh on Wednesday said the party would continue agitation on the ownership right issue for the residents of the 86 slums of Jamshedpur. She said it was high time the people of the 86 bastis were given their rightful by the state government.
In a press statement issued today, the Congress leader said Chief Minister Raghubar Das had taken the decision on lease bandobasti of government and Khasmahal lands as a pre-election strategy. �The government is trying to misguide the people on the ownership issue. But the people are not going to be fooled so easily.
They will deal a blow to the BJP in the 2019 elections. Congress will launch a massive agitation to create awareness among the people on the ownership issue,� she said.
