Congress rally in Delhi will be crucial to save democracy in the country: Keshav Mahto

Ranchi: State President Keshav Mahato Kamlesh has said that the Congress’s ‘Vote Chor Gaddi Chhod’ rally to be held on 14th December at the Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi will not only have a deep impact in the entire country but will also help generate awareness among the masses about the Election Commission’s involvement with the Bharatiya Janata Party on this issue.

The state Congress president added that the Congress rally is an important effort to save democracy in the country. He added that the rally’s success is assured, and it will also be remembered for a long time to come.

Mahto added that this rally will not only send a message across the country but will also educate the public about their rights. The vote-theft issue has now become clear, demonstrating how the government machinery is abusing its authority and undermining the fairness and transparency of elections. He added that it is regrettable that, despite pointed allegations, the Election Commission is showing no interest in conducting an impartial investigation. On the other hand, the government is defending the Election Commission, which is an attack on the country’s democracy.

Mahto, along with other Congress officials of Jharkhand, left for New Delhi from Bhagwan Birsa Munda Airport on Friday morning. Congress officials who left for New Delhi included Saurabh Agarwal, Kumar Raja, Trishanu Roy, Lal Kishore Nath Shahdev, Alok Dubey, Raj Bagchi, Aftab Alam, Dr. Rajesh Gupta, Haroon Ansari, Sanjay Kumar, Ishwar Anand, and Rabindra Jha.
