Jamshedpur: The Congress OBC cell convened a meeting at Thakur Bari Road in Sakchi to review and verify the working of the district, block, police stations and local committees.
The district president of the OBC cell Surendra Sharma who chaired the meeting advised members to work dedicatedly for the party with an oath to propagate the Shakti Project.
Sharma observed during the meeting, �The expansion of the party and working for its benefit is not the sole responsibility of the president but each and every member of every segment too has to be answerable on these counts.�
Coordinating the meeting and cell-in-charge Laddo Pandey said that the party will launch a door-to-door campaign to ensure victory for the Congress or candidate from the parties belonging to the Grand Alliance of the Opposition with the purpose of defeating BJP contestants.
Those present in the meeting included senior Congress leader Dharmendra Prasad, Ramdarsh Chowdhary, Raj Kishore Prasad, Bhagwan Sharma, Parvinder Singh, Sanjay Yadav and Sanjay Kumar. The vote of thanks was offered by Munnu Mandal.
