Congress on the decline due to absence of good leadership: Bagun Sumbrai

Chaibasa, Aug. 23: Senior congress leader and former MP Bagun Sumbrai on Tuesday chaired a district level meeting at circuit house in Chaibasa.

Addressing the gathering, former MP Sumbrai said that it is a matter of deep concern that the party which once had 340 members in parliament has now been to 40. ‘The Congress party is in a state of declining due to absence of good leadership.

Sumbrai also slammed the present district level body of the party and said that all the three district presidents including Sunny Sinku from West Singhbum, Debu Banerjee from Seraikela-Kharsawan and Vijay Khan from East Singhbhum should be removed with immediate effect.

These three leaders did not bag a single seat during the elections and on the other hand, they do not take any suggestion from senior leaders. Former Assembly Speaker Devendra Champia said that the party election is under process these three leaders won’t be re-elected.

Rajya Sabha MP Pradeep Balmuchu said, Raghubar Das government has failed in every front and the greater Ranchi project unveiled By LK Advani is traceless. Corruption has multiplied in Raghubar’s tenure as earlier the corruption was two per cent and now it has gone upto 8 per cent.

He further said that not a single engineer in the state is working without taking under table commission. Even Raghubar Das’ son and cousin are engaged in illegal collection of money.

The business class is frustrated with Raghubar government, added Balmuchu. A large number of Congress leaders were present on the occasion.
