Khunti, April 23: Congress candidate Kalicharan Munda filed his nomination for the Khunti parliamentary constituency He was accompanied by Tamar MLA Vikas Singh Munda and Simdega MLA Bhushan Bara. Confident of his victory, Munda asserted that he would win by a significant margin. He vowed to defeat BJP’s Arjun Munda decisively in the upcoming elections.

Before filing his nomination, Munda visited the ancient Solahbhuji Diuri temple in Tamar, seeking blessings for success. “I have unwavering faith in Diuri Mata Rani,” he stated, highlighting his regular visits to seek the Goddess’ blessings.

The elections in Jharkhand are scheduled in four phases, with Khunti set for polling on May 13. Following the nomination filing, the Congress party organized a roadshow, preceded by a public meeting at the Co-operative Ground in Khunti. Leaders including Congress State President Rajesh Thakur, Minister Alamgir Alam, Jharkhand CM Champai Soren, and Congress State In-charge Ghulam Ahmed Mir addressed the gathering, expressing confidence in their victory.
