Concrete irrigation canal being constructed in Potka

Jamshedpur, Sept 9: A concrete canal is being constructed under MGNREGA scheme in Tiring Relagutu under Judi panchayat in Potka Block. The length of the canal will be from Anand Sardar�s crop field to Lalmohan Sardar�s pond and it is being constructed at a cost of Rs 4.95 lakh. Judi panchayat Mukhiya Savitri Sardar and Panchayat Samiti member Urmila Samad inspected the construction work. They said that many government schemes under the MGNREGA project have been launched in the panchayat area during the COVID period and villagers and migrants have found employment. They said that if more people in need of jobs more projects would be launched. The government projects would be a constant feature in the panchayat. They pointed out that various work under the government projects have been launched in the panchayat area including TCB and CPT schemes. Both Savitri Sardar and Urmila Samad talked to the workers executing the various MGNREGA schemes and enquired about the facilities they were getting as per entitlement. Accompanying them during the inspection were former Mukhiya Upendra Nath Sardar, Anand Sardar, Chandrai Sardar and others.
